Well if you know me you know I'm a social butterfly, but as I got older and joined boards I realized the fun and importance of the gala scene. I was going to go out and eat and drink anyway, which would cost me $100-$150 bucks, so why not do it while supporting a good cause? I joined my first board when I was 32 and I wish I would have when I was 22. I want everyone to know volunteerism comes in all shapes and sizes.
